North Korea’s Nuclear Hatchet; 12-12-12 Remember This Date

NORTH KOREA’S NUCLEAR HATCHET, 12-12-12 REMEMBER THIS DATE

I said that we would get here; and here we are.You are invited to go back and see some of my prior posts on North Korea. We are back with the issue that will not go away. And I knew that it would not. North Korea is a small, isolated, poor country; but because nuclear weapons are what this blog has insisted from the beginning; IQ tests; there is no mystery about what just happened.

Korean 15 year old boys do very well in algebra class.  The editorial writer at The Wall Street Journal put it a little more dramatic than it had to be put; but who knows; the next few years might prove that the drama was justified.   Meantime, Pyongyang is doing what it always does, playing a weak hand extremely well. It will need several more tests to perfect its intercontinental ballistic missile, even if the third-stage separation goes smoothly this time. Keeping hopes of change alive in Bejing and Washington allows the breathing room Kim needs to make good on his boast of a missile that can hit the U.S. mainland. (p. A. 16, December 4, 2012.)

Well the third stage separation went well enough. There seems to be a problem in the orbit, but everyone sees the security issues for the West Coast of the United States. A nuclear bomb strapped to this thing does not need very sophisticated instrumentation to hit , say, California.    Good engineers learn and get better.  Understand this: There are intelligent people who, a few months ago, thought that making fun of the North Korean failures makes sense.  We hear them on TV. One military expert; retired I think, told a reporter, Fox I think; that the North Koreans engineers were “The Gang that couldn’t shoot straight.”

Understand this: There were Americans in the 1950’s who thought that the Russian engineers were “The gang that couldn’t shoot straight.”  Understand this: When Khrushchev withdrew Russian support for the Chinese  nuclear weapons program the the early 60’s he was saying: “This Chinese gang can’t shoot straight.”   Understand this: IQ data predicted what we just saw. Three years olds in California are going to live their lives out 43 minutes from a Korean oven for generations because once a and a school system was shoved down the throat of a North Korean peasantry whose IQ data is similar to American IQ data,  engineers show up who can shoot straight.
